Volleyball Recap: Lamar's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Lamar entered their tilt with The Vanguard School on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Coursers by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Thunder, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The win didn't come easy: The Vanguard School scored at least 20 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 19-25, 25-20, 25-22.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lamar to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alyssa Postma, who had 14 digs. Those 14 digs gave Postma a new career-high.

Lamar was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in five consecutive matchups.

Ainsley Anderson and Laila Czarniawski certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Anderson had nine digs and two aces, while Czarniawski had 13 digs. Anderson has been hot for a while, having also posted 12 or more assists the last 13 times she's played.

Lamar's record now sits at 4-2. As for The Vanguard School, the loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Lamar will venture away from home to face off against St. Mary's at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for The Vanguard School, they have already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Pikes Peak Christian on the 19th.
