Softball Recap: Lake Forest Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Lake Forest unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Grayslake Central Rams on Monday, falling 22-5. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.

LaMartin Natalie made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Houghtaling Abbie was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.

Looking ahead, Lake Forest will challenge Regina Dominican at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Grayslake Central will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lake Zurich at 4:45 p.m. on April 3rd.
