Volleyball Recap: Englewood Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Ana Torres and Phoenix Kimura

Englewood came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Baldwin Indians. The Rams have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-14, 25-16.

Phoenix Kimura and Ana Torres certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Kimura had 25 digs, while Torres had 18 digs. Kimura is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 11 every time she's taken the court this season.

Englewood's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Baldwin, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.

Looking ahead, Englewood will venture away from home to challenge ED White at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Baldwin, they will challenge Fernandina Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
