Recap: Irrigon Knights vs. Riverside Pirates
The Irrigon Knights were the 49-9 winner over the Riverside Pirates when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Irrigon took a serious blow against Riverside on Thursday, falling 45-18.
Riverside got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Crystal Sanchez out in front who scored 19 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Brianna Thomas, who scored 4 points along with 10 rebounds and 5 steals.
Irrigon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Riverside, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Irrigon will face off against Grant Union at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Riverside won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Touchet at 6:00 p.m. on December 1st.
