Soccer Game Preview: Bolingbrook vs. Waubonsie Valley + Official Tickets

The Bolingbrook Raiders will head out on the road to challenge the Waubonsie Valley Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bolingbrook is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

Bolingbrook proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by four) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Thornton 1-0. Give Bolingbrook's defense some credit: that's the team's fifth straight shutout.

Meanwhile, after soaring to seven goals the game before, Waubonsie Valley was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They lost 4-1 to Naperville Central. While losing is never fun, Waubonsie Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 96th, while Naperville Central are ranked second).

Waubonsie Valley's goal came courtesy of Sebastian Herrera, which was the first he's scored this season.

Bolingbrook's win bumped their record up to 12-8-1. As for Waubonsie Valley, they now have a losing record of 7-8-4.

Bolingbrook skirted past Waubonsie Valley 1-0 when the teams last played back in October of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
