Basketball Recap: Trinity Lutheran Comes Up Short

Trinity Lutheran lost against Oldenburg Academy back in February of 2017 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Trinity Lutheran Cougars received a blow as they fell 56-39 to the Oldenburg Academy Twisters.

Despite the loss, Trinity Lutheran saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Reed Mellencamp posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kade Gillaspy, who had eight points.

Trinity Lutheran now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Oldenburg Academy, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Trinity Lutheran didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-57 defeat against Austin on the 25th. As for Oldenburg Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 68-34 loss against Hauser on the 28th.
