Soccer Game Preview: Davidson Day vs. Greensboro Day School

The Davidson Day Patriots will take on the Greensboro Day School Bengals at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Davidson Day is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Greensboro Day School better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Davidson Day really gets things going. Everything went Davidson Day's way against Gaston Christian last Thursday as Davidson Day made off with a 4-1 win. Considering the Patriots have won three matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Greensboro Day School fought the good fight in their overtime game against Caldwell Academy on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Bengals in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

Greensboro Day School's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Davidson Day, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Davidson Day took their win against Greensboro Day School in their previous matchup back in May of 2016 by a conclusive 5-2. Does Davidson Day have another victory up their sleeve, or will Greensboro Day School turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
