Baseball Recap: Center Line Has No Trouble Against Fitzgerald

Center Line barely beat Fitzgerald the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers were the clear victors by an 18-8 margin over the Spartans on Friday. With that victory, the Panthers brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Cruz Santiago was incredible, going 2-for-4 with six RBI and one run. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Garrett Watters, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Center Line always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fitzgerald only posted an OBP of .382.

The win made it two in a row for Center Line and bumps their season record up to 9-12. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Fitzgerald, they dropped their record down to 11-15 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

As of now, neither Center Line nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
