Soccer Game Preview: Dixon vs. Liberty

The Dixon Bulldogs will head out to face off against the Liberty Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dixon's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Dixon fell victim to Marshfield and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Bluejays, falling 5-0.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Liberty faced off against Greenwood on Monday. The Eagles took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Jays. The defeat continues a trend for Liberty in their meetings with Greenwood: they've now lost six in a row.

Dixon's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Liberty, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.

Dixon might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Liberty in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
