Softball Recap: Granite Bay Takes a Loss

Granite Bay was the 7-3 winner over Fernley when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Grizzlies fell just short of the Vaqueros by a score of 7-6 on Saturday.

Leilani Terrazas was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Those stolen bases marked the first that she snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Cam Lincoln, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Granite Bay now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Fernley, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Granite Bay will head out to take on St. Francis at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fernley, they will square off against Dayton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vaqueros are facing the Dust Devils at the right time seeing as the Dust Devils are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
