Cornerstone Charter took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They never let the Millennium Lions get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won nine in a row.

Dylan Anderson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tyler Smith, who went 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and one RBI. Those three doubles gave him a new career-high. Brooks Adamczak was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Cornerstone Charter always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Millennium only posted an OBP of .062.

Cornerstone Charter will have a chance to go back-to-back against Millennium: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
