Basketball Recap: Mariemont Comes Up Short

Mariemont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 72-37 loss at the hands of the Wyoming Cowboys. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 342nd, while the Cowboys are ranked 13th).

Mariemont now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Wyoming, they pushed their record up to 18-1 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Mariemont will face off against Deer Park at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wyoming, they and Chaminade Julienne Catholic will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
