Volleyball Game Preview: St. David Tigers vs. Fort Thomas Apaches + How To Watch

St. David has won ten straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Fort Thomas has won ten straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. The Tigers will welcome the Apaches at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, St. David got the win against Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind by a conclusive 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant St. David was: they took every set by at least 16 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-9, 25-7.

St. David relied on the efforts of Emma Hart, who had 22 assists and 16 aces, and Sophia Salinas, who had four aces. Those 16 aces gave Hart a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: St. David was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 31 aces. They are 12-4 when they serve at least ten aces.

Meanwhile, Fort Thomas earned a 3-1 victory over San Simon on Monday.

Fort Thomas' win bumped their record up to 16-6. As for St. David, their victory bumped their record up to 16-18.

St. David took their win against Fort Thomas in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Apaches turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
