Recap: Brewer Patriots vs. Austin Black Bears
It was a good run, but the Brewer Patriots unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 57-44 to Austin. Brewer was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Austin apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2021.
Despite the loss, Brewer still got an impressive performance from Lilly Grace Yancey, who scored 17 points along with 7 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Romine, who scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 blocks.
Brewer's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Austin, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Brewer will head out on the road to face off against Arab at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Austin, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Ramsay at 6:00 p.m.
