For the second straight game, Providence Christian Academy will face off against Franklin Road Academy. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Providence Christian Academy LIONS duke it out with Franklin Road Academy Panthers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Providence Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.5 runs per game this season.

Providence Christian Academy fell victim to Franklin Road Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 7-0 to the Panthers. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the LIONS' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

For Franklin Road Academy's part, Millie Pardue made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Pardue has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.

Pardue wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ren Spencer, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Marjorie Clark also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Franklin Road Academy pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Providence Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Providence Christian Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Franklin Road Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
