Basketball Recap: American Heritage Patriots vs. Challis Vikings
American Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a 56-22 loss at the hands of the Challis Vikings. The Patriots were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-9.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Challis to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ramey Rhoades, who posted 15 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Brayden Ollar, who had 12 points along with six boards and four steals.
American Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Challis, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-7.
American Heritage will venture away from home to face off against Mackay at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Challis, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Butte County at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Challis knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Butte County likes a good challenge.
