Baseball Recap: Nestucca Bobcats vs. Gaston Greyhounds        
        
		
            
 Nestucca can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent  contest  on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Gaston Greyhounds with a sharp  14-4 victory. Winning may never get old, but Nestucca sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
  Eli Love made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out eight batters over  five innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off   five  hits (and only one walk). Love was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Nolen Hurliman and  Zac Collins did most of the damage at the plate:  Hurliman  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs, while  Collins  went 4-for-4 with three  runs and four  RBI.  Brady Hurliman was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 Nestucca has  been performing  well recently as they've  won seven of their last nine matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record  this season. As for Gaston, they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 5-4.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nestucca will  square off against St. Paul at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Nestucca knows how to get  runs on the board -- the  team has finished with flashy  run totals in its past five games -- so hopefully St. Paul likes a good challenge. As for Gaston, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Portland Christian at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
