Concord has gone a perfect 6-0 against East Rowan recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Spiders will challenge the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Concord put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They blew past Salisbury, posting a 42-7 victory. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Spiders just coasted through the last quarter.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for East Rowan, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against South Rowan on Friday as they made off with a 33-12 win. The game marked the Mustangs' most dominant victory of the season.

Concord better keep an eye on Jaxon Lyons. He was instrumental in East Rowan's win, rushing for 246 yards and one score while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. Those 246 rushing yards gave Lyons a new career-high. East Rowan also got help from Amariyon Ferrell, who showed off his sure hands for 85 receiving yards.

East Rowan was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 314 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Concord now has a winning record of 5-4. As for East Rowan, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Everything came up roses for Concord against East Rowan in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as the squad secured a 45-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spiders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
