Basketball Recap: Southampton Academy's Losing Streak Snapped at Nine Games

Southampton Academy can finally bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Thursday. They managed a 41-36 win over the Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot Knights. For the Raiders, this counts as revenge for the 47-38 victory the Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Southampton Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Southampton Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Kenston Forest at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. As for Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot, they are taking a road trip to take on Fuqua at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
