Baseball Recap: Silver Stage Takes a Loss

After flying high against Sierra Lutheran on Friday, Silver Stage came back down to earth. The Nighthawks lost 11-4 to the Falcons on Friday. The Nighthawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 9-3.

Silver Stage saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Blayne Baratti Butler, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.

Silver Stage has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Sierra Lutheran, their win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-11-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Silver Stage will take on rival West Wendover at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Sierra Lutheran is set to square off against their familiar foe Battle Mountain at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
