Soccer Game Preview: Cedar Valley vs. Syracuse

The Cedar Valley Aviators are taking a road trip to challenge the Syracuse Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cedar Valley will be strutting in after a victory while Syracuse will be coming in after a defeat.

Cedar Valley is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They blew past Salt Lake Academy 3-0. Cedar Valley have beaten Salt Lake Academy the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Salt Lake Academy has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Syracuse faced Weber in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Warriors who were credited with the win. Weber got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to Syracuse's four. Syracuse's loss signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Their goal came courtesy of Taylee Hughes, who's now up to 22 this season.

Syracuse's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 15-3. As for Cedar Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 9-10.
