Baseball Game Preview: St. Paul Knights vs. Doherty Memorial Highlanders

St. Paul has gone 6-1 against Doherty Memorial recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Knights are taking a road trip to square off against the Highlanders at 7:30 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: St. Paul has struggled recently with five defeats in a row, while Doherty Memorial will arrive with three straight victories.

On Friday, St. Paul came up short against Wachusett Regional and fell 4-1.

St. Paul saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Beckett Bailey, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Doherty Memorial got the win against Burncoat on Wednesday by a conclusive 11-1.

St. Paul's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Doherty Memorial, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

St. Paul came out on top in a nail-biter against Doherty Memorial when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
