On Friday Clinton take on Central Clinton/Calamus-Wheatland at 7:30 PM. Clinton come in off of three low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the team is obviously eager to reverse.
We expected Clinton to have trouble with the significantly higher ranked North Scott last Friday, and they did. Clinton suffered a grim 7-37 defeat to North Scott. Clinton's loss continues a disappointing trend for the squad, making it three losses in a row.
Meanwhile, Central Clinton/Calamus-Wheatland got themselves on the board against Liberty, but Liberty never followed suit. Central Clinton/Calamus-Wheatland took the match and then some with a 35-0 victory over Liberty.the rankings were on Central Clinton/Calamus-Wheatland's side, but they didn't forecast quite such a lopsided result
Central Clinton/Calamus-Wheatland's win lifted them to 4-3 while Clinton's defeat dropped them down to 3-4. We'll see if Central Clinton/Calamus-Wheatland's success rolls on or if Clinton are able to steal their positive momentum.
