Volleyball Game Preview: Glenelg Gladiators vs. Williamsport Wildcats

The Glenelg Gladiators will take on the Williamsport Wildcats on Saturday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a five-game winning streak alive.

Glenelg is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came out on top against Calvert by a score of 3-1.

Glenelg relied on the efforts of Sara Kwon, who had 15 digs, and Abigail Nirola, who had five aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Glenelg was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. They are a perfect 13-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Meanwhile, Williamsport faced Bel Air in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Wildcats blew past the Bobcats 3-0.

Glenelg's win bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Williamsport, their victory bumped their record up to 16-3.

Glenelg suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Williamsport in their previous meeting back in November of 2018. Can the Gladiators avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
