Basketball Recap: Edison Tommies vs. Roosevelt Teddies

Edison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by the Roosevelt Teddies 61-27. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tommies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 82-55 back in January.

Roosevelt was led to victory by Obie E Esparza and Calvin Peterson. E Esparza went 7 of 8 en route to 19 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals, while Peterson went 7 for 16 on his way to 18 points along with six boards and three steals. The contest was Peterson's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jason Wind, who posted four points in addition to ten rebounds and three steals.

Edison's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Roosevelt, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edison will venture away from home to face off against St. Anthony Village at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Roosevelt, they are taking a road trip to square off against Community of Peace Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
