Football Recap: Biglerville Piles Up the Points Against Littlestown

Biglerville hadn't done well against Littlestown recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Canners breezed past the Thunderbolts to the tune of 40-12. The Canners might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 25 points or more this season.

Biglerville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyler Spadacino, who picked up 183 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Spadacino's longest reception was for an incredible 91 yards. Aidan Hoffman was another key rusher, rushing for 141 yards and one TD.

Biglerville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ayden Slaybaugh and Gavin Althoff. Biglerville received some extra help from Liam Conrad, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

The win was the third in a row for Biglerville, bringing their record up to 4-5. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.3 points over those games. As for Littlestown, they now also have a losing record of 4-5.

Coming up, Biglerville will take on York County Tech at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Canners will be up against the Spartans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39.22 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Littlestown, they will challenge Bermudian Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Thunderbolts will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games.
