Football Game Preview: Calvert Trojans vs. Oakwood Panthers

After each having a week off, the Calvert Trojans and the Oakwood Panthers will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Calvert has given up an average of 68.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Last Friday, Calvert lost to St. Joseph Catholic on the road by a 90-71 margin. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game back in September (68), the Trojans still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Oakwood played a tough game last Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through an 88-58 loss at the hands of Avalon. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Calvert now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Oakwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Calvert suffered a grim 48-26 defeat to Oakwood in their previous matchup back in November of 2021. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
