Softball Recap: Slocomb Comes Up Short

If Slocomb was feeling good fresh off their 13-4 takedown of Providence Christian last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Slocomb came up short against the Wicksburg Panthers on Thursday, falling 21-0. The Red Tops have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Slocomb now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Wicksburg, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-5.

Slocomb has already played their next game, an 8-0 loss against Opp on the 21st. As for Wicksburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 9-0 win against Straughn on the 21st.
