St. John waltzed into their game  on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Charleston Math & Science Riptide with a sharp  5-1 win. The score was close at the half, but the Islanders pulled away in the second half with three  goals.
They hit Charleston Math & Science with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from  Rene Becks (2),  Omar Mercado,  Reece Coiner,  and  Axel Montero.
St. John's victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 4-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  scored 19  goals over those three  matchups. As for Charleston Math & Science,  the  loss snapped their winning streak at three games  and leaves them with a 3-2-1 record.
