Softball Recap: Farmersville Wins Going Away Against Mckinney North

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Farmersville). Everything went their way against the McKinney North Bulldogs on Monday as the Farmersville Farmers made off with a 7-1 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Farmers have posted since April 27, 2024.

Farmersville got a big performance out of Bella Holland, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs Holland has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Emaleigh Sweeden, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

The victory made it two in a row for Farmersville and bumps their season record up to 2-2-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 runs over those games. As for McKinney North, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Farmersville will face off against Anna at 5:00 p.m. on February 25th. As for McKinney North, they will take on Birdville in a tournament on Friday.
