The First Academy Royals will face off against the South Dade Buccaneers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The First Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season.

The First Academy's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Windermere Prep with a sharp 12-0 win. The Royals haven't had any issues with the Lakers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Kyle Hopper tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only a hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Remo Indomenico, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024. Cannon Koronka was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two RBI.

The First Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Windermere Prep struck out seven times.

Meanwhile, South Dade lost 10-4 to Harmony on Friday.

Luis Alejandro Mora and Joseph Medina stepped up to the plate in a big way. Mora got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one double, while Medina scored a run while going 2-for-4. Medina also hit two hits, marking his first of the season.

South Dade's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for The First Academy, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
