Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Defeat Ends Castle View's Winning Streak

Castle View lost against Pueblo West back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Sabercats took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cyclones. The Sabercats' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Abbylynn Farrell paced Castle View's offense, picking up eight kills. Farrell got some help from Kaiya Gilbert and her 17 assists.

Leading Pueblo West to victory were Bricelyn Baudino and Jillian Millirons. Baudino had six digs and three assists, while Millirons had four digs.

Castle View's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Pueblo West, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.

Castle View and Pueblo West are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Sabercats will challenge Centaurus at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pueblo West, after both having extra time off, they and Horizon will shake off the rust and duke it out at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
