Baseball Recap: Flowers Comes Up Short

Flowers lost against High Point back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Jaguars took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Marcus Richardson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole four bases while going 1-for-3.

Flowers' loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for High Point, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Looking ahead, Flowers will challenge Parkdale on Wednesday. The Jaguars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 12.7 runs per game this season. As for High Point, they will head out on the road to face off against Suitland at 4:30 p.m. on the 22nd. The Eagles are facing the Rams at the right time seeing as the Rams are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
