Soccer Recap: Strom Thurmond Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Strom Thurmond can now relate to. They lost 4-1 to Mid-Carolina on Monday. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Strom Thurmond couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Anderson Escalante, who's now up to 15 this season.

Strom Thurmond's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-5. As for Mid-Carolina, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That lines up perfectly with their 12-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Strom Thurmond nor Mid-Carolina have any future games scheduled.
