Basketball Recap: Naches Valley Comes Up Short

Naches Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 74-26 loss at the hands of the Zillah Leopards. While losing is never fun, the Rangers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 257th, while the Leopards are ranked 48th).

Naches Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Zillah, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.

Naches Valley and Colville will round out the year against one another at at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Zillah, they will square off against Bonney Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Zillah knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Bonney Lake likes a good challenge.
