Softball Recap: McCormick Takes a Loss

McCormick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 19-3 to the Thornwell Saints. If the Chiefs were looking for revenge after losing 18-4 to the Saints when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

McCormick's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Thornwell, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. McCormick will take on rival Calhoun Falls Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Thornwell is set to square off against their familiar foe Dixie at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
