Howell has gone 8-2 against Plymouth recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Highlanders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Howell sitting on three straight wins and Plymouth on four.

Howell came out on top against Stevenson on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fourth inning. The Highlanders narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Spartans 9-7.

Allison Ulanowski looked comfortable as she tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Zoey Overton, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Amelia Elsey, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Howell kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are 10-1-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Plymouth faced off against Garden City on Saturday. The Wildcats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over the Cougars.

Howell's victory bumped their record up to 15-11-1. As for Plymouth, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.

Howell skirted past Plymouth 4-2 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Do the Highlanders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
