Basketball Recap: Cedar Key Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Cedar Key's last matchup with Lafayette could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Monday. The Sharks came up short against the Hornets, falling 70-44. The Sharks have struggled against the Hornets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Lafayette's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lane O'Steen, who went 12-for-24 to rack up 29 points along with five assists and four steals. Another player making a difference was James Turner, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 15 rebounds.

Cedar Key's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Cedar Key won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Ocala Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lafayette, they will square off against Chiefland at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
