Basketball Recap: Annapolis Comes Up Short

Annapolis lost against Crestwood back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Annapolis Cougars were outmatched by the Crestwood Chargers and fell 70-23. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 661st, while the Chargers are ranked 229th).

Annapolis' defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Crestwood, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-2.

Looking ahead, Annapolis will head out on the road to square off against Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crestwood, they will be playing at home against Marian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Crestwood knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Marian likes a good challenge.
