            Baseball Recap: New Berlin West Vikings vs. Pewaukee Pirates        
        
		
        
        
            If New Berlin West was feeling good  fresh off their  14-0 takedown of Pius XI Catholic last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings took  a  6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pewaukee Pirates on Tuesday. The  game marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring  contest so far this season.
New Berlin West got a good showing from  Tyler Vetch, who   didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. What's more,  Vetch gave up only zero  earned runs, the fewest he's  had since back in May of 2024.
 On the hitting side,  Rocco Conrad was cooking despite his team's loss,   firing off two  home runs while going 2-for-4. Those  home runs marked the first that  he has  launched this season.
New Berlin West now  has a losing record of 3-4. As for Pewaukee, their win was  their fifth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 9-0.
While New Berlin West had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 4:45  p.m.  on Wednesday.
