Basketball Game Preview: Bath Wildcats vs. Memorial Roughriders

Bath is 2-8 against Memorial since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Bath Wildcats will take on the Memorial Roughriders in a tournament on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Bath fought the good fight in their overtime game against Wapakoneta on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 49-39 to the Redskins.

Meanwhile, Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 48-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Henry. While losing is never fun, the Roughriders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 584th, while the Redskins are ranked 283rd).

Bath's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-17.

Everything went Bath's way against Memorial when the teams last played back in January, as Bath made off with a 63-40 win. Does Bath have another victory up their sleeve, or will Memorial turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
