Volleyball Recap: Statesville Comes Up Short on the Road Against West Iredell

Statesville kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 3-0 to the West Iredell Warriors. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 16 in a row.

Statesville was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made West Iredell work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 26-24, 25-14.

Looking ahead, Statesville will be playing in front of their home fans against Parkland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Iredell, they will square off against Foard at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Warriors their first taste of in-conference action this season.
