Soccer Game Preview: Turner Ashby vs. Western Albemarle

Turner Ashby is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came out on top against Staunton by a score of 4-2. It was an even better day for Fredy 'Daniel' Hernandez as he scored three goals for his team.

Meanwhile, Western Albemarle faced Rocktown in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Warriors' defense stepped up to hand the Raptors a 1-0 shutout. The win made it back-to-back victories for Western Albemarle.

Western Albemarle's win bumped their record up to 12-3-2. As for Turner Ashby, they pushed their record up to 17-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Turner Ashby came up short against Western Albemarle in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, falling 3-1. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
