Soccer Recap: Corning-Painted Post Takes a Loss

Corning-Painted Post entered their match against Ithaca on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Hawks fell 3-1 to the Little Red. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Ithaca this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 two weeks ago.

Corning-Painted Post's goal came courtesy of Landyn Proudfoot, who's now up to 12 this season.

Corning-Painted Post suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 6-4. As for Ithaca, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Corning-Painted Post wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 5-2 victory against Aquinas Institute on the 27th. As for Ithaca, they will face off against Johnson City at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
