Football Recap: South Sevier Rams vs. Delta Rabbits
If South Sevier was feeling good fresh off their 77-0 takedown of Providence Hall last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The South Sevier Rams were outmatched by the Delta Rabbits at home and fell 48-21. The Rams have struggled against the Rabbits recently, as their game on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Although South Sevier took the loss, they still got scores from Kanyon Okerlund, Cooper Castle, and Boston Palmer.
Jett Rawlinson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 265 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry for Delta. Rawlinson's longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards. Hunt Robinson was another key player, rushing for 61 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
South Sevier's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Delta, the win also got them back to even at 3-3.
South Sevier will challenge San Juan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. San Juan knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 point or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully South Sevier likes a good challenge. As for Delta, they will host Grand County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Delta is facing Grand County at the right time seeing as Grand County is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
