After each having a week off, the Brookwood Broncos and the Peachtree Ridge Lions will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Brookwood's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups.
Brookwood is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their game last Friday with ease, bagging a 57-7 victory over Meadowcreek. The win continues a trend for the Broncos in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won six in a row.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Bryce Green and Brayden Tyson. Green rushed for 91 yards and three TDs while Tyson rushed for 64 yards and a pair of scores on only five carries. What's more, Tyson posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in November of 2024.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Brookwood proved: they limited Meadowcreek to a paltry two yards per carry. The team can thank Daniel Diggs for the heroic effort on defense: he. Brookwood didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 13.9.
Brookwood's defense didn't let Yourhinest Carter, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for five sacks. In that department, Unitas Baltimore was the leader with three. Brookwood is undefeated when Baltimore posts one or more sacks, but 1-2 otherwise. Diggs was another major factor on D, making 12 total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Peachtree Ridge's good fortune finally ran out last Friday. They were dealt a 45-14 loss at the hands of North Gwinnett. The contest marked the Lions' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.
Brookwood's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Peachtree Ridge, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-2.
Brookwood came out on top in a nail-biter against Peachtree Ridge when the teams last played back in October of 2024, sneaking past 32-29. Do the Broncos have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
