Basketball Game Preview: Yarmouth Clippers vs. Medomak Valley Panthers

The Yarmouth Clippers will head out on the road to face off against the Medomak Valley Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Last Tuesday, Yarmouth ended up a good deal behind Wells and lost 56-37.

Meanwhile, Medomak Valley waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Shipbuilders as they made off with a 49-26 win. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Shipbuilders are ranked 111th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Medomak Valley's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. As for Yarmouth, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Yarmouth didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Medomak Valley when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 42-37 win. Will Yarmouth repeat their success, or does Medomak Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
