Basketball Recap: Jac-Cen-Del Comes Up Short

Jac-Cen-Del lost against North Decatur back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Jac-Cen-Del Eagles fell to the North Decatur Chargers 50-46. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Decatur's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brady Mauer led the charge by putting up 12 points. Owen Eldridge was another key player, earning seven points and five boards.

Jac-Cen-Del's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for North Decatur, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-11 record this season.

Looking ahead, Jac-Cen-Del won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hauser at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Hauser's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine contests. As for North Decatur, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll face off against Knightstown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. North Decatur is facing Knightstown at the right time seeing as Knightstown is stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
