Softball Recap: Shelby County's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Shelby County extended their postseason success on Monday against Elmore County. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Panthers. The win was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on four straight.

Aaliyah Chaisson (2026) spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on six hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kaydence Connell (2026), who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Danslen Connell (2029), who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

Shelby County's victory bumped their record up to 21-8. As for Elmore County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-18 record this season.

As of now, neither Shelby County nor Elmore County have any future games scheduled.
