Baseball Game Preview: Pahokee Blue Devils vs. Lake Worth Trojans

Pahokee hasn't had much luck against Lake Worth recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Pahokee Blue Devils will head out to face off against the Lake Worth Trojans at 4:00 p.m.

Pahokee is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 18th straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They came up short against Sheridan Hills Christian, falling 17-2.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last matchup, Lake Worth made sure to put some runs up on the board against Glades Central on Thursday. Lake Worth blew past Glades Central 14-4. The Trojans' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Brandon Lazo made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). Lazo was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Erik Lee, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Dominic Bouchard, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI.

Pahokee's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lake Worth, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Pahokee suffered a grim 16-0 defeat to Lake Worth in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Pahokee avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
